In both of his first two games in charge, Southampton's new manager has played Jan Bednarek (3.9) for the full 90 minutes.

I've had Bednarek for a long while, I got him as a cheap enabler but I predicted that he would make his way into the starting lineup this season. Turns out the manager seems to like him and in my opinion, he's played well. I can't guarantee he's totally secured his place, but it's my prediction. Southampton are poor defensively and I wouldn't rely on him for any clean sheets really, but for my fifth defender who'll only play in an emergency, them playing regularly is practically a bonus.
