Kaid or Maverick

I've been slowly building up renown for ages, prepped to buy mav with it. But now kaid came out and he's looking pretty sexy aswell. People are bitching a lot about both operators though I can't decide which is objectively 'better'. Any advice would be appreciated.

edit: It really isn't a 'attacker or defender' situation. I'm really just looking for a comparison between them as operators of that's possible.

I'm playing on pc

edit 2: I rediscovered my love for lesion so I'm buying mav over kaid
