Finally broke a piece of furniture playing this game
I’ve often raged and come very close to breaking a controller when playing Fifa. Well, I broke my ceramic bedside table this afternoon. I kicked my reusable water bottle into it.
What pushed me over the edge? I usually make a point of conceding less than 15 goals per season in the domestic league. However, these last 3 seasons I’ve been carelessly conceding 30+. Well it was “time for a change,” I thought. Following a 3-0 season opener, I was beating Real 4-0 in El Classico. Playing my heart out, they had 2 shots at goal, none on target. 90+2 out of 90+2, Bale gets the ball near the midfield on the wing. He evades 4 tackles (2 of which were good enough to stop players when Fifa doesn’t decide to force a goal) and shoots a mediocre shot from a tight angle that goes past my flailing Ter Stegen. It was their first shot on target.
Final whistle at kick off.
Literally no point for the AI to force that goal. Nothing for it to gain. Yet it did.
Real beat me in the CL final last season 1-3. They had 4 shots total. I had 21, 17 on target. 71% possession. It was the first time I lost a CL final in literal years.
Had to vent somewhere.
