Who actually enjoyed Let’s Go?

In the lead up to the launch of Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee, there was a lot of talk online about how bad everyone thought the games would be - based on what we’d be told about the features and functionality of the title. You didn’t have to look far to find people talking negatively about these games.

Being a long time Pokemon fan, I decided to completely ignore these people, buy the game anyway, and make up my own mind.

I’m very happy that I decided to do just that, as I really enjoyed playing the Pikachu edition - it very much reminded me of when I first played Pokemon Yellow back in the 90s as a 6/7 year old. I’m not going to pretend that the games don’t have some issues, but I think overall the playing experience was very positive.

Did anyone else almost not buy the game but decided to just go for it anyway? Did anyone buy it and regret it? Interested in all opinions and arguments for or against the games.
