2011 Infiniti M56S drivers assistance and cruise control indicators not working
I just got this car 2 days ago. Everything looked great, car has 35k miles on it.
To my horror, whenever I turned on the drivers assistant feature on the steering wheel, nothing comes “on.” no Lane departure warning light or no Blind spot warning light.
The rub is that these features are working really well, blind spots are indicated and beeps are sent whenever I’m departing a lane, just I can’t see their lights on the steering wheel cluster as if they are all just bad lights.
Also, cruise control (intelligent or not) has the same issue, the center LCD doesn’t show the graphics, set speed or set distance, but the display functions fine for every other task. CC is working fine as well, just no visual output to know that it’s working.
Also the center display has the “drivers assistance” settings grayed out so I can’t even enter the drivers settings to see if it’s just an option that needs changed. image of settings
When the car is turned to “ON”, all icons are on (including 4WAS) but the drivers assist feature icons remain off. image of cluster
I’ve gone through a few steps, making sure all the fuses are fine to disconnecting the battery to allow for the BCM to “reset”
The issue I thought was what seemed to be a remote start but the wiring seems right but I’m not an expert, I’m not even sure what it is.
Nothing seemed to have worked. Any ideas?
Thanks everyone!
TL:DR: drivers assistance features work but the cluster doesn’t show them on, options in the infotainment to adjust drivers assist features are grayed out.
