I finished it and now I have a renewed interest in gaming.

I just reached the summit for the first time. 2223 deaths. I’m nearing 30 and while I’ve always loved playing games, I haven’t finished a game in years. I’d always start and play through 50%-95% of a game, only to stop. I don’t know if it was boredom or lack of motivation.

Celeste was challenging, and sometimes frustrating but satisfying. I’ve never played a game that has been so...refreshing. When I struggled with a screen, I never rage quit and never felt cheated or or that things were unfair.

Celeste is definitely in my top 5 games of all time. I guess I’m off to the b side now.
