55-year-old Single Male Homeowner Hate Vacuum Love Roomba 635 But...
So I have had a Roomba 635 for several months. I run it every morning when I leave for work. It worked great and I did a pretty good job of checking it weekly and cleaning up pet hair from the wheels and brushes. However, it started throwing an error and stopped working. It didn't say anything just wouldn't run as it had been. I didn't have the time as I have a full time job and part time business until today to do much about it. Today I ended up calling iRobot technical support and all I had to do is talk out 5 screws holding the bottom plate in place to expose the battery. On of the screws is the one holding the side brushes in place so the side brush had to be removed also. I was instructed to clean the battery connection points on the battery and the iRobot also. Then replaced everything it's its now running exactly as it should.
So anyway I thought I'd share this somewhere in case anyone else has issues with theirs and so they can avoid having to call iRobot before trying this first.
