How to access "Users" folder on windows 10 hard drive
Hey guys,
My mother's laptop's windows system decided not to work (something about critical system drivers missing or containing errors) and the built in automatic repair and the one on a windows 10 installer usb can't fix it.
I took out the hard drive, connected it to another computer to try to get all the data off of it ( Basically files on the desktop, documents, downloads folders) and navigated to the "users" folder, but the only folders there are "Default.migrated", "public", and "default" ("default" folder showed up when view hidden folders was enabled). Is there any way to get to the files?
Thanks
Edit - "you do not have permission" or anything similar to that message did not pop up when clicking the users folder
Edit #2 - Tried to boot into an ubuntu installation to access files, but no success. The folders show up, but they are either totally empty, or have a few .ini or .lnk files in them
