What to do when account recovery wont work and support is beyond useless?

Got my gf the game a while ago, she can't remember her password after changing it. The launchers account recovery won't work for her. None of the answers from her security questions are taking. Trying to reset it from the website tells her to login to the website with steam, then says her email is in use with the system already and won't let her do anything. We've tried emailing support about it but to say they've been beyond useless would be the understatement of the century. All they do is send web page links to stuff we've tried even when we tell them that when submitting a new ticket. Is there anything else we can do or did squenix just fuck us out of 20 bucks?
