Limiting factors on space interferometers
Does anybody know what is the technology hold up on space interferometers? I understand it to be that we can't navigate and control spacecraft precisely enough. But more specifically than that, is there a hardware problem (thrusters aren't fine enough, can't carry enough fuel etc)? Are our navigation sensors not sensitive enough? What killed the Terrestrial Planet Finder Interferometer?
