how long does a corsair RMA take?

my rams lighting stopped working, support approved an rma. i just finished building a super high end system, but i obviously need my ram and i would basically have to drain the entire system and remove some hardline tubes just to remove the ram. ive heard the process takes forever. is the rma process a waste of time for me? or should i just take a loss and buy some gskill rgb royal?
