The three headed Choosing Beggar that wanted a refund and the item because “it’s already engraved”

Today I was doing some Christmas shopping with my parents for my BF. I had this sweet C-wrench picked out for him that was also a multitool. My boyfriend is a light designer so I know he just had to have this. Strangely enough it was at Stuff Recollected, that store in the mall that offers everything to be personalized.

While I didn’t have my c-wrench engraved I also picked up an engraved lighter for same BF. While shopping out I get accidentally pushed out of the way by a family of choosing beggars (I’m a 4’11 ball of fire and I went flying into my father).

Instead of apologizing, these three woman start yelling at the cashier about how this engraving order was wrong while this store is filled and extremely busy with people trying to engrave things for their loved ones. They start harassing the cashier over how they’ve ruined the present ( it was like this really nice tool set that had a hammer and a ruler and some other things). I’m going to include all the things that they said as one because I kinda imagined them as Cerberus.

Manager: is there an issue here?

CB: are you telling me you guys can’t do your job?

CB: oh my god they can’t even do their jobs

CB: I don’t even want it anymore it’s just stupid

And I’m being nosy as hell and I look forward and the set looks fine.

Manager( who has definitely seen some shit): what is the issue with the engraving so we can fix it? CB: you engraved the ruler! I didn’t want the fucking ruler to be engraved it looks dumb!

CB: you were supposed to engrave the hammer!

Manager: I’m sorry but if I engraved the hammer your hammer would of been ruined.

CB: you’re lying! The display has the hammer engraved.

Manager: the hammer is in the display because it’s ruined and I did that engraving myself and it ruined the hammer that’s why it’s the display. (I’ve seen them use multiple broken pieces as the displays because people break them anyways)

CB: isn’t the customer always right? Shouldn’t you be trying to please us.

CB: I don’t want the goddamn ruler engraved I want the hammer!

Manager: it would take an extremely deep engraving to do the hammer and ruin the hammer. I will not engrave the hammer.

CB: what are you going to do then that I’m not happy

CB: I’m not happy this shit looks fucking dumb

CB: we’ve spent our money on this

Manager: I can give you guys a refund but the ruler has already been engraved to say what you want

CB: well it looks fucking stupid.

Manager: give them a refund. (Begins to walk away)

CB takes the refund all of them continue to complain to each other calling the manager a bitch and then

The CB reaches to grab the tool set back. Manager freezes.

Manager: Did you not want the refund anymore? CB: this is my tool set it has my engraving. Manager: we gave you a full refund. You can’t keep the set.

CB: It has my engraving on the ruler!

Manager (to my cashier as everything has stopped because there’s only one computer and I just finished my transaction): give them the refund now.

She takes the tool set and goes to the back as the CB watch in anger and then rush out of the store with their refund.
