What to say when meeting best friends newborn

Hi. My best friend will have a child this month and I assume I will visit them at some point. I have absolutely no clue what to say when I’m there. I don’t dislike babies but I also don’t think they’re cute or that I’ll be excited, just happy for the parents. So what would be the etiquette when meeting the baby? I don’t expect to hold them even if they’d ask/allow me, I’m not comfortable with that. But do I just take a little look and what would be a appropriate comment?

I have zero experience with situations like this as I never interact with children and they’re the first in my friend group to get one. I just don’t want to accidentally be rude to the parents.
