Replaced the stems behind my shower handles, now the faucet runs while the shower is on. Any suggestions?

So I replaced all three stems because the were leaking and would t shut off all the way. Fixed the problem, but now, about a week later, the faucet still runs when the middle/diverted knob is turned to make the shower head come on. They are both running. What happened?
