Understanding young link

Hello,

I main young link but I’m finding that he is very difficult to work with as my GSP is going up. Can anyone give some advice on how to work with him? I’m finding his auto run can be very annoying for me when fighting in close quarters. Also, maybe because of the auto run I find myself always facing the “wrong” direction. What’s everyone’s opinion on him as a viable character for competitive play?
