Important Rules - Torrent requests & proxy advertisements

The subreddit has seen massive growth in the past year, mainly following certain regions blocking the main piratebay domain. While we're thrilled with the growth of the subreddit, a new rule will be put into place immediately.

#Advertising your proxies/mirrors will no longer be allowed. We have been hesitant to implement any rules about this. I and others have avoided it for some time, but it's reached a point where this is necessary. Several users have been sharing their proxies excessively, often using dummy accounts and usually not disclosing that they're just advertisements. They often are fishing for donations at a minimum, sometimes going as far as running cryptomining scripts and invasive advertisements as you access the site. These mirrors are generally not trustworthy and will no longer be allowed here.

This isn't a blanket rule however. Obviously there have been legitimate mirrors, and as long as they're shared by legitimate users with good intentions there will not be an issue - posting a working mirror you've found is fine, as long as you have no association or means to gain from it.

###Torrrent requests are not allowed... still.
