Was Future Pat trying to warn us?

Pat looks way too much like a normal human in this, and I don't like it.
He looks like he should be going down with the Titanic.
I don't recognize the bottom frame with Pat, it looks like a clip from an actual movie or TV show.
This upsets my shitlord-calibrated sensitivities.
I'm pretty sure that's the scene at the end of Star Trek 2009 where the two Spocks meet. You can see old Spock's pointy ears and bowl cut on the back of the head.
I’ve been on r/prequelmemes enough times o recognise those threads.
“Present-Pat, the Zaibatsu must end... in my time they stood in the way of my research into implanting my brain into an immortal toilet.”
Why does old Pat look like Derek Jacobi?
Goddamnit, Old Pat always bugged me as vaguely familiar since this meme was posted the first time and you hit the nail on the head. I wonder what kind of massive work required spending years insinuating himself as a beloved LPer?
Future Pat altered the timeline so that these events would take place, preventing a far worse outcome.
He walked into his fate knowingly, to save us. An act of heroism rivaling that of time traveling MLK.
So... Pat Prime = Old Big Boss mercy killing Zero, telling Snake "proud of you, son." and one last OG Kojima-style exposition dump?
We're in the endgame now.
He Must Win!
"Bless was an Elder God, impossible to kill. There are fates worse than death."
