Looks beautiful I could only dream of attempting something like this
Thanks! If you’re interested in doing a large Mandala like blanket, I personally believe the Mandala Madness is a bit easier to follow than the Sophie.
Ooh do you think so? I'm doing a Sophie now (just finished part 7) and I thought I'd seen people say they found Mandala Madness more difficult.
It's possible I'm the weirdo. I felt like the MM was easier to follow in that the directions and pictures were exact. The Sophie directions are kind of hard to follow for me, and I find myself getting confused as to what she means. I think the MM has more advanced stitches which could be why people think it's harder.
I agree, this does seem possible.
This is actually one of the first colour combos I’ve seen that I’ve fallen in love with after the classic stonewashed one. It looks amazing!
Thanks! I had a vision for the colors, but I have a love hate relationship with them lol.
I started on that but in thread and got my count wrong several rows back and haven’t had the motivation to fix it. Yours is gorgeous
Thanks! I love the thread ones I’ve seen but I just do not have that patience. I get things wrong all the time, but I have a no frog policy unless it completely messes it up. So I often add or decrease a stitch here and there to make it right.
I started this 2 years ago today after I had finished Mandala Madness. Just finished part 9. I got super busy with school, and it was just so hot to be working on it all the time. Here's to hoping 2019 will see its completion. Pattern is Sophie's Universe.
This is super intricate! Is it as hard as it looks? It's quite beautiful.
Thanks! I don’t think it’s too difficult, but it’s a lot of work. I’m a pretty advanced crocheter, and I prefer symbol patterns so I get confused occasionally when reading a long paragraph pattern. But lots of beginners have done it! At this stage it’s 50 inches across and can take 45 minutes of complete a row depending on how detailed it is.
Wow! Very impressive! How large is it going to be when finished? I didn't realize it was already 50 inches. I didn't notice the dog in the picture until just now, seeing the dog made me realize how big it really is.
Not sure how big it will be but most I’ve seen are pretty big. I think I’m only half way through the parts. I have a bad habit of giving up before finishing because I get tired of working on big things.
