Definitely a noticeable minority of them. The "ideal man" of most Incels is ironically a guy who would appeal more often to gay men.
And they get rather ruffled when you point out that straight women prefer a range of body types. I know lots of girls who like either chubby or scrawny dudes, very few who are into the incel's ideal.
I think because a lot of men just take what they wish they looked like and hold it up as the ideal, and then project onto women that women want that too. Some guys are thinking "Well, hell, if I was gay that's what guy I'd be into!" and can't fathom that other people don't see in him what they do.
Sounds kinda homophobic to imply that it's a bad thing to be gay.
Being gay is fine, being in the closet is fine (if shitty to deal with for the person in question)... lashing out at the rest of the world because you're in the closet is not okay.
