Anyway (here's Wanderwall) the usual scam gacha, you pay 3000 mobacoins, you have a 10 rolls draw with an assured SSR. Remember, you can get summon SSRs or a SSR you actually have, in that case you get a gold moon.
The banner shows Xmas units, so probably is a xmas focused gacha EDIT: Mixed the fraw rates of the banner with the Star Legend Gacha promotion, its not Xmas focused units. Sorry for the mistake guys U_U

FYI, the guaranteed SSR is not affected by the rate up for Xmas characters. They're in there, but they're the same rate as everyone else.
The other 9 rolls are still affected by the rate up.

If you were guaranteed to get a Christmas SSR I'd be tempted, but this feels manipulative and shady to show them on the Star draw banner but not even give them a rate up. These scam gachas are definitely the aspect of Granblue that I like the least because they are by far the most exploitative thing it does, and Granblue is usually much better than all those other scummy F2P games that pull his crap.

Yeah i get that they need to get some year end sale target met, but throwing scam gacha during roulette / prior to leg/flash period seems kinda scummy imo.
If you have to make scam gacha, at least separate it into Summon/Characters + raise the rate for X-mas unit on the guaranteed SSR

Turned out to be worth waiting for the banner to switch before using today's rolls.
Not that my rolls ended up yielding anything, though.

Hmm, maybe there's a misunderstanding going on here.
I only had 20 rolls to use (I didn't specify the amount anywhere, it wasn't an important snippet of info).
I was mainly pointing out the better rate up/spark list for the current banner, compared to the previous one.
Specifically, the previous banner only had Arulu/Clarisse/Sen/Ladiva on rate up/spark list. The current one at least puts Metera back on rate up, and Mary is pretty good too.
In my case, the saved rolls didn't net me any SSRs (edit: though you can't really expect even one SSR with 20 rolls at 3% rates), but it was worth waiting for the banner switch from a pure odds standpoint (with the goal of getting Xmas Metera).

It's just so the Christmas characters leave at midnight on Christmas, fests sometimes start at noon but not midnight outside new year's. There will almost certainly be a 3~ day banner like fan favorites before another granffest.

It's very likely that we have another Flash Gala before the end of the year. Shiva isn't out yet and we haven't had a Fallen Sword FLB banner.

Why the wow"? The "rates up" are almost non-existent in this game, and barely noticeable for SRs if you go deep (aka spark). You got three SSR in 30 rolls, that´s huge! I got just five SRs and 3 bronze moons in 30 rolls x_x

Well, because I'm not that over heels about holiday characters so I was pretty convinced I would get at least one. Again I'm not complaining in the slightest, just a "sasuga Granblue" comment.

0.660% out of 100%, all weapons have 0.660% and summons 0.416%.
Ok the scam gacha is a garanted SSR draw but if you get a SSR draw on the regular draw the chances you can end with Metera are bigger.
0.140% chance with regular gacha, but other weapons have 0.014% and summons 0.012%
0.140% out of 3% is still bigger than 0.660% out of 100% (if you can get a SSR)

Thats not what the % mean, its literally 0.14% chance per draw to get Metera and 0.66% from scam gacha.
There are around 150+ characters and summons in the pool right now, if you divide 100(%) by 150, its roughly 0.66(%) (although summons actually have a reduced rate).
In the regular gacha, if you add up all the horrible 0.014% rates and the boosted 0.14% rates you will find that it comes to 3% and not 100%.

Yeah, I know it. I was talking for something more like frenzy, for example. If you get a garanted SSR on the normal gacha the chance you get a ssr with 0.140% is bigger than if you tried to get it using the scam gacha. A 0.140% is still a 0.140% for each roll, but on the ssr poll the chance to get it would be 1 out ~21.
