/r/Metalcore's Best of 2018 | NOMINATION ROUND

Alright, time to find out the collective opinion of r/Metalcore in our 6th consecutive year of the official "Best Of" awards!

First things first though. One of my personal favorite bands, Architects, are going to not be in the running as they swept 2016 with their incredible album "All Our Gods Have Abandoned Us", and in 2017 managed to take one of the two main categories in addition to multiple other categories after only releasing one song. We've had a recent discussion about this and then Architects took best Best Metal Album by Metal Hammer's user vote.

It is safe to say that Architects put out one the most popular Metalcore albums ever this year with Holy Hell, and it would be a disservice to the other bands and albums to even include it alongside them.

Architects are r/Metalcore's Honorary Best Of 2018 Winner. Congratulations!

So with that out of the way, we need you to do the following:

• Post your nomination in this thread as a reply to my comment that it corresponds to (do not post top level comments, only post replies to my comments - those are the categories).

• Only nominate one thing per comment (you can nominate as many things as you want though).

• Do not nominate things that were already nominated! Read what has already been posted before doing anything.

• Vote up and/or down on the nominations that are posted by other users.

We will be limiting it to one award per band as well.

In a few days once the nominations & voting on the nominations have been done in this thread (aiming for the 1st or 2nd of January), we'll be moving to the final round. This round is where we will narrow everything down to the top 5 or top 10 for each category, and then whoever comes out of that round, comes out victorious.

Oh, and we have a discord if you want to talk to other people that like the same type of music as you: https://discord.gg/kXgd5sa

Scared of discord? Use this thread to chat here in the safety of the subreddit!

We hope that you had a Happy Holiday Season & a Happy New Year.
