Hey /r/music, share some of your favourite chord progressions.

Aside for I V vi IV, that is. Whether you admit it or not, you like it :P

So now that that's out of the way, here are some of mine:

i vii° III VII

iim7 IV7 VIadd9 V7

vi V7/vi Vsus2 vii°/V IV I iim7 V7/vi

That first one is just one I fooled around with to get. The second one was also one I started playing myself, but it turns out it's from... a John Mayer song? [I don't know, I don't really listen to him]. And that last one, behind all of those Roman numerals, is just the progression for Hotel California - I'm a huge fan of progressions involving chromatic basslines.

So r/music, what progressions do you like? Even if you know nothing about Theory, list a song that has a progression that you like. And for those that do know Theory, try to give us Roman numerals and maybe we can all add new things to our arsenal!
