TL;DR, an academic YouTuber, analyses whether Leia would really have survived being blasted into space (she wouldn't)

"academic" only means he studied at university. This isn't something extra special I think. Will watch the video later eventually, but what hasn't been said about this? There is a sudden pressure difference of 1 bar, that is like 10m underwater.

Being in space without anything has been tested on animals and while I can't provide numbers I think up to 1min of exposure or so all animals survived.

And while it is very cold in space, there is no matter to give your heat to, so you won't freeze.

The problem is the explosion which could provide over 60 psi of pressure (enough to kill on its own) then the explosive decompression to no pressure would wreak havoc on her lungs and surely kill her.

Ah, that is nice to know. How do these tie fighters destroy the bridge anyways? Doesn't the shield block matter but only energy and so they can fly through the shield and fire between shield and bridge?

All the power for the shield were diverted to the back of the ship to protect against shots from the capital ships, so the bridge was unprotected.

Oh I didn't mean without the Force, he takes that into consideration.

I have no issues with this personally.

It was kinda happy actually they showed her use her force abilities.

not that she would be able to see anything... at -272k in a vacuum her eyes would have frozen and been useless the second she opened them.. amongst other things
