Anyone been to Ermont lately?

Medical

Heard they got sold and went downhill, BUT I recently looked at their menu and they have a large variety of live resin and shatter. Has anyone tried the concentrates? Are they good quality?

Ps they have a new patient discount that seems like it might be worth the trip, if you haven’t been yet (basically the same discount NETA offers to new patients).

Nope. Once a dispensary utterly fails me in regards to quality/customer service, I don't go back for a long time. It's been almost a year since I last visited, so maybe it is time again... But if they still have the shitty line situation and untrained budtenders, I already know it's going to be a frustrating visit.

In the past, I was not a fan of their concentrates. They mostly had distillate back then but all of their stuff gave me a weird mouthfeel for dabs - like drinking an unfiltered beer, know what I mean? I definitely hope they've improved their game!

They had the best edible game on the market and completely screwed the pooch by getting rid of their kitchen.

Apparently, Ermont has been doing a lot of wholesale processing for other dispensaries. They "buy" the flower from the RMDs, blast/run/process it, and "sell" the concentrates back. Here's a news article with them showing off leaves, stems, and trim they're going to blast...

The original food guy and COO is now over at Rev, as you're well aware.

Yeah - Rev is doing pretty good. If their drying/curing game gets to the level that Patriot Care is on, they'd probably be the best dispensary in Mass.

I knew Ermont did processing of concentrates but I thought it was strictly distillate. Also, why the hell didn't they choose a better looking shot for the picture of it? I know gnarly looking leaves / popcorn larf is probably still good / ideal for this situation but you always want to put your best foot forward. (It's like how growers go through a room before the High Times photographer comes by and removes any yellowed leaves so it looks like they have a flawless garden. We all KNOW they don't actually have one but presentation is half the battle.)

Also to Ermont's credit:

“Ermont, in its brief time in Quincy, has proven to be a good community partner,” Walker said. “We have not had a single issue at their existing facility.”

That's always really nice to hear. I know most of the complaints about a dispensary are NIMBY mofos but the more often a dispensary proves itself to be a good partner to a town, the easier it will be to shut up all the naysayers.

I went there for the first time recently. I’m generally not an edibles guy, but for some reason I really felt like some, so I picked up a few things there. I am a little disappointed in my selections but I’ve probably been over cautious about dosage. Had to spend up to reach discount pricing so I grabbed a cake pop too. I didn’t realize it expired in a week; usually vacuum packed stuff has a decent shelf life or so I thought. Am I wrong about this?
