Upgrading from Original Pixel XL to OnePlus 6T

I've seen every single review comparing the XL3 to the 6T. The XL3 has a better camera. By far.

But I'm not after that. I want to know if the 6T is much better than my Original Pixel XL. I assume there's at least someone in here who has made that switch.

Bonus points to the person that can tell me if the 6T works on AT&T. The only reason I want to switch is my Pixel XL doesn't support VOLTE on AT&T and I don't get good cell phone reception in my office. I'm missing important work related phone calls so it's time to change. If nothing else, I can switch networks if necessary.

I don't think the 6T or XL 3 warrant replacing the XL, unless your battery is terrible.

We're probably going to get Android Q, and I think the 4 XL and OP7 will be massive jumps relative to the OG XL.

OG Pixel has a way better camera than the OnePlus 6T. No contest.

Yes the 6T works on AT&T, but don't know if VoLTE works.

My review (after having used OG Pixel XL, Pixel 2 XL, and Pixel 3 XL): https://www.reddit.com/r/oneplus/comments/9wu6dy/oneplus_6t_review_from_a_pixel_users_perspective/

Lol it totally is check out any review comparing the two and nine times out of 10 the 6t wins if you take the camera out of the equation

The 6T offers more value I'd say over the Pixel 3. But probably what you're asking would be best suited over in the OneOlus subreddit.

I did that, and returned the 6t. Missed the fingerprint on the back, missed the headphone jack. My notifications were all jacked up. Battery was amazing though

I have the OnePlus 6T and the Pixel 3. Other than the camera the 6T is better in every department. Like you said if you're not after the best camera in the market which is the pixel 3 then get the 6t and save yourself $400 and yet still get a faster phone and a much better display.

RCS is coming and OnePlus hasn't touched it with a 10 foot pole yet and no there is no way you will get Volte on ATT with a non ATT carrier phone or iPhone ATM.

Stay with a pixel unless u want a shitty vibration motor, bad camera, bad fingerprint reader, Chinese support, no pixel visual core (for 3rd party apps), no wireless charging, no water resistance, no stereo speakers, no assistant call screening, no now playing, etc.

Pixels have gotten significantly better since the Pixel 1. Leaving them for a Chinese OEM that cuts serious corners to woo you with raw specs is a huge mistake imo.

I want to just reiterate how bad the vibration motor is. It's really awful. Just terrible.

Isn't RCS carrier based? I had RCS on my OnePlus 5T in Scandinavia.

if the carriers RCS implementation doesn't use Google Jibe (Android Messages) then OnePlus phones can't use it since the OnePlus messaging app has zero RCS support

This was with Android Messages on my 5T indeed.

I can’t speak to the 6T, but the Pixel 3 does support VoLTE and WiFi calling on AT&T. Another comment implies that this isn’t the case, but I can confirm that it works for me.

Install the Pixel Experience ROM, I'm using it on my OnePlus 6, and it's perfect, but if I'm not wrong, the fingerprint of the 6t doesn't work in this ROM, get it the6 and install it, it will worth it
