Q: I am just starting with this series. In what chronological order should I play the games
Here's the list of the main titles in chronological order according to the events, along with its gameplay mechanic and which platform you could play it on. take note of the footnote below the table

*RE0 is a prequel to Resident Evil. It is advisable that you play it after completing the RE1, 2, 3 and Code Veronica, which supplements the lore established by the said 4 titles. It is also advisable to play this after the said titles due to the advanced mechanic. Thanks u/purpldevl and u/addy_g

To put the icing on the cake, you should watch the following animated films which are set within the game's universe

Q: Is there a fixed camera angle for Resident Evil 2(2019)?
A: No.
Q: Is there an A/B scenario?
A: Yes. Playing and completing scenario A for character 1 will unlock scenario B for character 2 in the main menu. The scenario B could be access through "New Game(2nd run)"
Q: Do i need to play the 1998 Resident Evil 2 to enjoy the 2019 Resident Evil 2?
A: No, but if you appreciate the fixed camera angles and the og mechanics, you should give it a try
Q: I have console A and a console B, which Resident Evil 2 console version should I buy?
A: Only you can answer this. But if you're having a big dilemma, buy it on whichever console you use on playing big titles such as Resident Evil 2
Q: I pre-ordered the standard edition of Resident Evil 2, could I still get the content included in the Deluxe Edition?
A: Yes. you purchase the additional content from the Deluxe Edition as DLC's.
Q: I have an arachnophobia and would like to know if spiders are in the game and how do they look.
A: Spiders is not included in the 2019 Resident Evil 2. The following creatures are not in the game:

Q: Will I be able to run Resident Evil 2 on my PC?

The best way to ensure if your PC/laptop can run the game is to play the 1-shot demo
Q: What time will Resident Evil 2 unlock?
A: On Steam, the unlock time depends on your country/region. There is a countdown on the Steam store page above the 'Add to Cart' button. There is also a countdown timer for PS4 and XBOX1 after pre-loading the game (correct me on this if i'm wrong.

Q: How long does it take to beat each scenario?
A: 1st run with leon took 6 hours, collected every item possible (whole map was blue because i collected everything), 2nd run with claire took exactly 4 hours because i was playing and talking to my friends online so basically wasn't focusing and forgot some puzzles, so it might take you 6 at max -/u/acc_187

Q: What about DLC?
A: Yes, they have announced a new DLC called Ghost Survivors. We don't know a lot about it yet, but it will allow you to play as some classic Raccoon City civilians.
Q: How does Mr. X work?
A: He is in both scenarios for each character. He is scripted to show up at certain times, but he free roams too so you might randomly run into him.
Q: Do you go through the basketball courts/Kendo's gun shop, etc?
A: Yes, just not in the beginning of the game on the way to the station.
Q: Is ___________ store doing a midnight release?
A: No one knows except the people at your local store. Call them.
Q: Are the Deluxe Edition extras for sale too?
A: Yes, you can buy them digitally.
Q: What time exactly does it drop?
A: Probably midnight in whatever your time zone is.
Q: Who should I play with first, Leon or Claire?
A: That's personal preference. In the original game, playing with Claire first is considered canon.
Q: Can you mash buttons to get zombies off of you?
A: You can't mash, but you do have defensive weapons.
