Strange issue with not receiving messages

I've been speaking to someone on Discord quite frequently for a while, and have run across a very strange problem: I do not receive messages from this person, but on their end, it shows as having been sent. Is there anything that could be causing this issue on my end, or could it be a bug with Discord itself?
