When you ask a legend to do the national anthem, you get a legendary performance!!

She looks so pretty! Even in her seventies. Her singing was just as amazing as ever.
She's truly stunning.
Brother Van Noy also had a great game
Yeah! I was so psyched for him. Had my eye on him the whole time.
She looked and sounded beautiful. No wonder everyone's buzzing about this performance tonight!
and shes the only one. that was the highlight of that lack luster boring awful game. even the commercials SUCKED.
Nah the Bud light/got crossover was pretty fantastic
Sounds good even without the mask.
It's being reported today that she did indeed sing it - she didn't lip synch. It's unfortunate though because it seemed the audio feed was off just a titch. Everybody at the party I was at thought she lip-synched it, but I heard this morning that it's been confirmed that she sang it.
She did great though. That she's an Atlanta native made it even more appropriate, like when Aretha sang it when the Super Bowl was in Detroit.
Lets stop calling her sister Gladys/Sister Knight.
I did that just to trigger you.
I know, defender of the faith.
Correct, she is my sista
One of the absolute best the super bowl has ever seen imho. She killed it! Too bad we can't say the same about that Half time show, that thing was worse than a train wreck...
I agree.
It’s nice to see some good publicity for us esp with that Netflix ted bunny thing going on.
Nice that it’s a non white person representing us too. Shows we do have some diversity.
If anyone thinks Ted Bundy was an honest to goodness convert, they're really stupid.
The branch president did...
At the time, sure. You can lie your way into anything. But after the fact, it's pretty clear he was just using the Church like everything and everyone else in his life.
His branch showed up en masse to defend him at his arraignment for multiple murders.
The way I see it is if you own the good ones you got to own the bad ones too.
I don’t know whether he was sincere or not, he definitely had some flaws when it came to living the gospel to understate things a little.
If the Catholic Church has to own their baddies, we have to own ours too.
Most of us members of the church are trying our best to be good people, as are the Mormons who are not members of the church of Jesus Christ of ...
The fact of the matter is to our shame he was one of our fold.
Nah. He wasn't some big leader or anything. He wasn't even endowed, was he? He was a member for all of a year or something, right? We don't have to own it.
I think we do. If a new convert did something great like become president of USA, win a gold medal, cure aids etc...we would be telling everyone all about it.
Anyway besides the point whether or not we accept it it’s not great PR.
Oh man, if you think that is bad, dont watch Abducted in plain Sight.
Classy, beautiful, talented, AMAZING!!! ❤️
Working on a Sunday? That's the Sabbath
I wish she had knelt at the end of the anthem, but the current conversation is big enough to hold multiple points of view
Sounds super awkward.

I just wished brother squarepants could’ve killed it too :(
Yeah. Shoutouts are lame. Just do the dang song.
It's the only reason I watched tbh. I don't like either team(Dolphins fan), however I grew up watching spongebob...was pretty disappointed.
I don't know anything about Spongbob. What was that Spongbob thing all about?
In the episode "band geeks" spongebob and the gang play a halftime show for a fake football game to the toon of 'sweet victory'. The creator of spongebob, stephen hillenberg, died in 2018, so people jokingly wanted them to recreate that, but people were upset because they teased it for a rap song instead.
Ah, ok. Is that song connected in anyway to the performers in the halftime show?
Nah it was just a meme, but people were mad cause it was like, either do the whole song or don’t do it at all
