Bought a G402 but these sticky rubber sides are driving me mad

After just 10 minutes of usage the rubber gets all sticky and isn't really nice to use anymore. Is there anything I could do to fix it or should I just return the mouse and get something without any rubber?

My previous mouse was a G400 and it had nothing of the sort.

Wipe it down with rubbing alcohol or do what Pashgetti said.

Isopropyl alcohol doesn't affect rubber much. If you're using a paper towel lightly moistened with some isopropyl alcohol or a wipe, it will evaporate quickly before it sticks and affects the rubber. Just don't take a drenched material and roughly rub it in like you're fingering the She-Hulk. The purpose is to fix the stickiness which is really just a tiny layer. If it stays sticky afterwards, either RMA or put some grip tape over it.

Well it depends on what you want for your grip. G402 and G403 are pretty different in terms of what grip they support. G403 sides also have rubber just so you know. However, they are of good quality and I haven't heard people talk about them getting worn down like Steelseries side grips. G305 doesn't have any rubber anywhere.
