I've been asked out for a dare before. It hurts like a motherfucker.

However, I put that down to a singular person being an arsehole rather than a commentary on society. Not every dick move is down to some greater societal issue. Some people are just horrible, horrible people.

Have you considered it? Like, you won’t actually make any progress on your goals, but you’ll feel free blaming all of your problems and struggles (and there will be many many struggles) on anyone and anything else.

It’s very freeing to try nothing, have it fail, and blame everyone else!

I mean, this was a trash thing to do. Poor woman was humiliated and taken advantage of purely for her size. Seriously I hope that guy has disappointing sex and stands on Lego for the rest of his life.

I hate fatlogic because it kept me fat for so long, but I don't think it's a radical idea for fat people to be able to live free of shame and humiliation.

But it did spark some utter nonsense on Twitter.

A punishment well deserved, I think. What a complete asshole. I thought we left this juvenile behavior behind in middle school.

I don't really think this is about fatphobia or any kind of systemic oppression. One guy needs to go build houses for humanity for a few months and grow up. We aren't alone in that assessment.

It seems like someone got hurt because a dude took advantage of their biggest insecurity, and now they want to tell everyone the incident means everyone hates fat people for existing.

People are sickening.

Pretty sure ugly people and weird people, among others, got asked out on dares. It doesn't only happen to fat people. People are assholes.

A very infuriating read. It’s just one big FA circlejerk.

That sucks, plain and simple. Thin, fat, male, female, tall, short, it’s not ok to do that to someone.

The video that went along with it was even worse!

How can you prove something like that? I mean you’d have to be sole fucked up asshat to just outright lie about someone taking you out on a dare. I mean it’s something that for does happen; I’d love for it to open a discussion around why does such behavior exist. But I think I’m asking too much.
