It's the drivers that need to get it through that thick helmet of theirs.

They can’t pull out to pass without the risk of losing the draft and finishing the race two laps down.

NASCAR needs to install features on the car that make the wind field behind it bigger.

Right now there’s no draft following the lead cars, the cars have to be within a couple of feet of the guy in front of them to go the right speed for any length of time.

If it sucks it sucks, what can we do? I’m looking at the bright side this is the last race for this package also it’s the Daytona 500 tomorrow not the duels or an exhibition race so hopefully the drivers will work a lot harder for the win.

I think that’s really the only way to look at it. If you hate then don’t worry you won’t have to see it again. And who knows if everyone here is going in expecting it to be terrible you can only be pleasantly surprised. It’s like prepping for worst case scenario. If anything else happens it’s better than what you were expecting.

I am. We spent a ton of money coming down here and today was a slap in the face.

So did I. I have never witnessed a worse race in my life. And I have been to NHMS plenty of times 😂

I thought last year’s fall Talladega race was bad but boy was I wrong. Probably going somewhere else next year for our NASCAR trip.

I doubt they've seen the racing this week if they are that casual. Most casual fans won't tune in for the Clash or the duels.

Posting this again won't change a thing, they'll just remove it again. Also, learn to use the post race thread, that's the reason why your last post was removed.

I want my voice to be heard. Tons of us agree with me. I will post it 500 times if I need to. Its the truth. I want to save this sport.

You do realize posting on Reddit doesn’t do anything, right? Your voice has been heard in 40,000 different places. We get it. You’re not saying anything new, or anything someone else hasn’t said.

Drivers just aren’t the same nowadays as they were back in the early 2000’s I feel like. Apart from guys like Busch, Keselowski, Logano and Harvick I feel like we don’t have anyone who is afraid to move someone out of the way and don’t care about being friends with everyone. It seems like now most drivers wanna be friendly with everyone and are too scared to make moves. There’s isn’t that aggressive style of racing that we had in the 90’s and 2000’s. It seems like everyone would rather just take a 5th place finish rather than taking a risk and trying to make a move for the win

Totally agree. These young kids need a chip on their shoulder

MuhMuhManRay:9::12b::14b::19:•

Yeah, and I think that just goes hand in hand with the times we live in. Doesn’t have anything to do with racing. Everyone is babied now and it’s just this “everyone gets a participation trophy” generation

It’s happening in every sport too, not just racing.

They better tie a kerosene rag around their ankles so the ants don't climb up and eat their candy asses if they try to go single file tomorrow.

We don't need casual fans anyway.

Hopefully that's sarcasm. Those casual fans could eventually become long term fans.

Especially for a race like the Daytona 500. I could agree with this statement if we were talking about Pocono because no one cares about that, but this is the one race a year where a lot of people will watch NASCAR even if they aren't a fan.
