Nvidia promo code - Can it be redeemed with a 1080 ti?

Other

As title mentions. I have a 1080 ti and wondering if you really do need a 2070/80/80ti to redeem these promo codes. I see some sellers saying you need these cards, some do not mention. Has anybody here themselves redeemed one of these codes on anything else than a 2070/80/80ti?

Thank you for reading =)

I don't think you can do it.

I bought a 2070 on Friday from Newegg. The card won't be here for a couple days. I was sent the code Saturday. I already had the Nividia Experience software on my PC for my 1060. I used the code and was able to redeem it already, even without the new card installed. Does that answer your question?
