May I ask what this is a picture of? Is it generated from the game?
I haven’t played in about a year and I am seeing these birds eye view popping up.
OP used premature answering.
It was not very effective.
These maps are done with the CSL Map View mod.
how does your map have so many highway connections? do they all join up into the 4 max set by the vanilla game?
Ah no, I just have the mod Unlimited Outside Connections which allows me to place new ones at will if I also have 81 tiles to give me access to the map edges.
neat. doing a 100% vanilla play since i've had massive problems in the past and don't even feel like bothering with the workshop anymore.
How do you all generate these lovely topographic maps?
... Okay, you guys win.
Town renamed to CSL Mapton-Viewburg
And before anyone gets a chance to ask these questions:
The image was done with CSL Map View.
Pop at 160k and traffic flow at 81%.
Yes that is a lot of railways and monorails, but as this is an only vanilla assets build it would have been damn hard creating effective transport hubs without these.
No, there is no industry here yet, that is going to be phase 3/5 where I build an industrial belt and complete the urban areas of the city. Also included in that phase are all the airports and two more cargo ports and connecting the rest of the incoming railways that are currently merely peeking at the image's edges to the network.
(To be more precise, phase 3 is going to be in the following districts, starting from the west coast and going clockwise: Calcherth, Willowdale, Glossop, Chaepstow, Dewhurst, Warlington, Warcester, Padstow, Farnfoss, Sherfield, Durnatel, Aroonshire, Arkney, Bellenau, Erast and Glenarm)
If you want pictures of the city, ask and I shall deliver, although I have not looked up any better LUTs from the workshop yet, so the images aren't going to be of great quality.
Phase 1/5 post available here.
