Concrete Age before first reset

Hello!

I've been playing this game for a while now and I'm in year 460, just unlocked mechanization and I'm going for the concrete huts before reset strategy, the problem is that now for the first time I'm feeling absolutely overwhelmed by all the options and it also looks like anything that involve concrete will take a long time to get, mainly because of minerals, I'm also way too far of Apocrypha (I have 47k max faith), so my doubt is should I focus more on basic infrastructure (like mines, lumber mill and kittens) or on more complex infrastructure (quarries, factories and stuff like that)? Also should I start to put some priests for Apocrypha?

EDIT: Forgot to say how I'm playing, I'm not using any script or anything, but my playstyle is quite active.

  • Hello! Welcome to the game.
  • More Complex Infrastructure isn't terribly necessary at this point. Quarries don't do anything that Mines and Geologists can't cover. Factories are important later, but you need titanium (and the slabs to buy it) now for the concrete upgrades you want.
  • Priests, probably not. Don't get me wrong, you want to carry over your faith on resets as soon as you can, but if you're not there yet, it's just going to distract you from getting basic resources for that concrete.

Thanks for the answer! Just gonna bother you with another question, I've ignored the following sciences: Acoustics, Biochemistry, Metallurgy, Combustion and Electronics, considering that I have only 115k max science is any of those worth it at this point?

Mostly, no. If you're just going to beeline the huts, fill up on kittens and reset, entirely no.

Acoustics does have something useful for faith. Biochem is not very useful most of the time. Metallurgy and Combustion have some upgrades for your older tech, they're convenient but not urgent. Electronics has enough important stuff that most people go straight for it, but again, it will all require titanium and you have other targets.

You can not get much beside karma and paragons from first reset, so usually concrete huts are the maximum you want (there are other strategies that suggest not even go so far but those are irrelevant as you are already there). just check if you can raise your storage to squeeze in some extra house (hut/long house/maybe Mansion if it is doable in some reasonable time) and reset.

I suggest more or less ignore faith for first few resets. (probably until price ratios metaphysics upgrades -think I became serious about religion the same game I reached the moon and Eledium huts and spent some time there for first time - for time being something like 1 magneto has bigger value than what you can do with faith)

Eh, I got Apocrypha on my first reset, and it didn't take much longer then the concrete huts. Probably worth it.

I didn't build a single Factory before my first reset. The titanium cost is just too steep on the first run.

I also had no Apocrypha from that first run, but that might have been a mistake, simply not building enough Chapels and Temples. I don't know whether it's viable to do it in the first run.

You've done well to get to concrete so early, 460 years is roughly 4 days playtime, most people take a couple of weeks for their first run. That's probably why you're behind on a few areas of your game, sounds like you've really been pushing through the sciences and technologies with less focus on everything else. Just take some time with your kittens in other jobs in order to make up for the deficit and you'll be ready to reset in no time :)
