Gone With the Wind for sure. Loved when Rhett tells Scarlett off and says, "Frankly my dear, I could give a Damn!" And storms off.
That's as real as it gets!
I haven't read much romantic fiction, but Norwegian Wood feels like a very real depiction of love, loss and sexuality in youth.
I think Bob and Helen Parr are a good example. Their interactions are very realistic!
I always felt that the relationship between the parents in Malcolm in the Middle (Brian Cranston and Jane Kazmarek) did a great job of capturing the relationship of married couple with kids
Elizabeth Bennet and Mr. Darcy or Mr. Rochester and Jane Eyre. Both had their own personal problems and, in my opinion, reacted like a real person would, when confronted with a problem. Elizabeth basically tells Darcy to fuck off when he insults her family but asks her to marry him. Jane runs off when finding out that Rochester was already married and didn't tell her. But a happy end comes for both of the stories and they all sort their problems out.
Revolutionary Road. Lol
Fuck, I read that. Harsh.
Hell yeah. That book is like a fucking gut punch.
Did you watch the movie too?
Yes, and I thought it did a good job of encapsulating the book, for the most part, though they get into the neighbor's interior thoughts more in the book, and I liked that.
