Is Frank is way flashier than we give him credit for? (No spoilers)
This just occurred to me after watching Frank get shot a bunch of times in S2. Frank's vest. Frank's not some nancy boy walking around with some supermaterial, he's a real man and he wears a regular bulletproof vest. It's either a hard (ceramic/metal/composites) or a soft (Kevlar) vest. As many things do, both hard and soft get damaged when they're shot or stabbed. When they do, their structural integrity is way, way lower than it was beforehand. So, he's used this vest through multiple firefights and been shot in it a shit ton of times. All of those bullet holes that look like really cool parts of the skull design? They're actually real bulletholes. Four of them, center mass. It doesn't look like they're replaceable ceramic plates or anything that he's able to repair himself, so dead center in his "body armor" is effectively tissue paper. But he wears the vest anyway. I know it's a superhero world and suspension of disbelief and everything, which is why I don't consider Frank's inhuman ability to stay alive to be too much, but this is just just basic stuff that somebody brought in to consult would have pointed out very quickly, right? Do we ever see him change out the body armor? Or is he seriously walking around with a skull-painted cardboard box around his chest for the fear factor?

When DInah gave him the vest, I was like what is the point. get a new vet and spray paint that with a newer and more intimidating skull. Instead he continued to wear that for the rest of the season.
