It has been 2 months since the Nyx "rework" and she is still bugged.
Since the Nyx "rework" she has had a couple of bugs.
1.Teammates can build up damage while in assimilate this should not be possible since the changes in update 20.2.3 (back in April 19th, 2017) where the patch notes state. Nyx's Assimilate Augment for Absorb no longer Absorbs Friendly Fire.
2.Since the fortuna update (November 8th, 2018) Nyx has been unable to use gear items in assimilate.
The problem with these changes is none of them where documented in any patches.

You forgot to mention the enemy AI not doing anything but following When mind controlled
Also enemies inflicted with chaos will still highly prioritize mission targets over anything else
