The Weekly Re-read: Volume 5 - The Best Defense

Welcome to the fifth edition of The Weekly Re-read, where we look back and reflect on the previous events of The Walking Dead all the way back from the very beginning. This week we will be re-reading and discussing Volume 5 (issues 25-30), "The Best Defense".

Synopsis:

After the dramatic events of the last volume, Rick, Glenn, and Michonne leave the prison after spotting their first sign of other survivors. Their search brings them to a small town called Woodbury where a large, well-armed and well-organized group of survivors have taken refuge, led by a man called The Governor. Rick and his comrades quickly learn, at terrible cost to themselves, that they have fallen into the hands of the most dangerous group of people they could have imagined.

Please feel free to discuss below when you've read the volume. A new post for each volume will be made every Friday afternoon/evening (anywhere between 2PM-12AM ET) so feel free to read ahead for the Volume 6 re-read next Friday!
