Ravnica Allegiance Draft - Advice for new player

I have started playing MTG:Arena a few weeks ago, and really enjoy the drafting format (I come from Hearthstone Arena), I have understood the basics, and got a few 7 wins during the Ixalan drafting phase. I quickly learnt the counters, and how to play around most removals. It recently switched to Ravnica Allegiance (3 boosters) and I have just finished my second run and it's another 0-3.

I realize this new draft is more complicated and I have a really hard time adjusting to it. Not only is the whole expansion sort of new to me, but I have encountered so many control decks, and any sort of midrange that I put together got crushed.

It might not help that I am platinum rank ? Not too sure.

My question is : how do you draft when you draft a format that's mostly unknown to you ?
Do you aim for an archetype ? Do you force it ? Do you guys have any advice for me ?
