Cannot Unlock Managed HP G3 Chromebook
As an IT admin, I've been running in to a peculiar issue w/ the HP G3 Chromebooks, we have about 3500 of these in our enterprise.Every once in a while, I get one that comes out of sitting for a bit and it says its locked by the admin.
Ofc, the warranty from HP on these has run out, so there's no point contacting them (they're pretty useless, besides being good parts monkeys). Trying to converse with Google tech support is kinda like walking in a circle for six hours while trying to feed a toddler, you'll get tired repeating yourself and frustrated, but you never get anywhere.
I've checked Admin console, verify it isn't locked by serial, and powerwash or try recovery via USB, and it still claims its locked. As soon as I connect to the wireless network, it lets me know its locked... by me. If I try to deprovision it, powerwash/run recovery, and try skipping enrollment, it doesn't care. Now I've tried everything I can think of, since I can't pull up a crosh or V2 console.
Any ideas?
