Is it possible do disable these hints? 32 hours in and I've seen them all multiple times over now [rant]

I'm talking about these popups. There is nothing more frustrating than getting these, especially when in combat/ aiming down a rifle. Sometimes I'll get 3 or 4 in a row and it's just painful.

I've turned off game hints in the 'gameplay' settings but they still appear, any ideas?
