One month of being on Humira

I have psoriasis and PS. I started humira a month ago. I was only on one topical before getting on this, and it was only for a few weeks. In the month since starting, I have had about a 60% clear up. MY joints feel better as well. I am getting the star treatment at my derm because of how quickly I responded.

My honest theory is that I responded so well because I had not tried other treatments

Humira and Enbrel are top notch. The others would not have altered your path much they either work or they don’t (or make things worse). Everyone’s bodies like what they like. Fingers crossed yours likes humira for a long time your insurance doesn’t make your roll the proverbial dice of meds ... starting out of the gate with a heavy hitter is the best! Enjoy it!

Humors was likely what kept my psoriasis at bay for so long. I have crohns (7 years now) and on humors for 5. Just dx with psoriasis 18 months ago, it’s my first biologic med but it’s also just an amazing medication. My crohns is not easy to control so the fact I have been in remission for a long time (until I got pregnant) is insane!

I am shocked about the progress of it. I have cancer, so I was not happy about a biologic, but my oncologist okayed it, and it worked very fast for me. I do think a big reason it worked so well is because other than 1 topical for a few weeks, I have never had real treatment

Well, I’ve tried everything. Creams, methotrexate, steroids, UV light therapy. Been on Humira 4 weeks and am 100% clear. It’s to good to be true.
