Using Gogo inflight

My first travel as a TMo subscriber is coming up, and the airline I'll be on (Delta) offers Gogo. Is it one hour PER flight, or one hour total per day? I'll be connecting and would love to be able to be on my phone for both.

Is it per line per flight or per plan per flight.

Make sure you enable wifi calling before you get on the plane.

I've already used Wifi calling, and have the E911 set up, so hopefully should be all set!

Per flight. For best results use incognito or private browsing for the log in. A few times I got stuck with the you already used up your hour on the second flight of the day in regular browsing.

Good tip! Not going for another couple of weeks (work trip, so set schedule) but know that the flights aren't long enough/the right plane body for inflight entertainment so planning ahead!

Two tips for you:

  1. If you have multiple devices (work laptop?) that you want to use the wifi with, you can get a USB-powered travel router (like a HooToo HT-TM02) and connect to the gogo wifi through that. It'll whitelist the router's mac address for the free hour and anything you connect to the router will get internet.

  2. I had an issue with my free tmobile hour - it quit working after a few minutes. There's an option in the gogo internal portal to chat with tech support. They gave me a free full-flight code to use - so I ended up with wifi the whole flight rather than just an hour.

One of the planes is a small CRJ, so I expect to not have the laptop out for that one. But may with the other one, so will look into this! And will keep in mind if there's issues to get with tech support ASAP.

Just reboot if you have been greeted by the hour is up when you board on second flight.

I am having a hard time understanding how the HooToo HT-TM02 weekend work. Does that device allow you to log into it (say, using your smartphone), open the GoGo webpage and start up a connection to the GoGo service?

You plug the router in and connect to the WiFi that the router broadcasts. Then you connect to the admin page of the router and in there you can tell it to connect to the Gogo WiFi, so it’s your router’s MAC address that gogo sees. Then, complete the gogo signin process and anything connected to your router can get online.

Some sites are white listed such as google maps sometimes and the delta site so you can get your connecting gate info ahead of landing even after your hour is up.

Definitely needed especially connecting through a giant airport like ATL

Lol ATL is really not that big

I've been there a couple times but definitely a large one!

Different for everyone but living I Atlanta I have felt it's much smaller than many of the others I've been at

Oddly it seems to let me use more hours, i have to sign in a second time but then it keeps working for another hour.

Interesting! I've used Gogo before (buying one of the passes) but never had TMobile to take advantage of the free hour before. Will have to test out if logging in a second time brings another hour!

One plus customers get it for the whole flight and not just one hour. Right?

I believe so. I only have ONE.

Yes, that's one of the features of One+. All TMO customers get at least an hour though.

Does the free ONE+ allow for Go go on the entire fight or only one hour?

Standard T-Mobile One gives one hour per flight, plus texting for the whole flight.

To make sure we are talking about the same thing. We got onto the One Plan, and they added the free ONE Plus Promo for each line. My question is whether this allows each line unlimited GoGo Wi-Fi on a flight or only the one hr, same as those on a TMo One without any One Plus add on.
