Can I Water My Plants With Diluted Peppermint Essential Oil for Pest Control?

I have a Succulent with spider mites, and a growing number of gnats in my apartment. Could I water my succulent with heavily diluted peppermint essential oils, and trade out tap water in my kratky hydroponics for the same solution?
