Since people have been asking, list of all cards that have cosmetics.

News

So, I exported all cards that have cosmetics. No 100% claim this is right, but it seems to add up to the correct total and I doublechecked it. If you find mistakes, please point them out.

Cards can appear twice if they are in different sets or have different art, that is not necessarily an error, but could be. (The link will be the same regardless, tappedout defaulted the list to most recent printing) These should be:

Thank you. Kinda surprised it wasn't done yet so why not do it. Unfortunately on the first try where I put it all into one deck I missed one card and it got so laggy that it was hard to find what it was.

EDIT: It was the M19 Duress. Pulled a sneaky on me.

I’m kind of disappointed in the ratios. 119 creatures get card styles, but only 15 enchantments, 28 instants, and 20 sorceries.

Edit: and only 1 artifact?

Creatures tend to be more popular but also they stick on the board longer. So they show for more than just casting/resolving. So their unique art is cooler imo.

I would also think that it's easier to do the layer/depth separation on creatures since it's usually one focal object/person then a background. But I haven't actually looked at them yet.

At least you can pimp out Tef. I wanted to pimp out my Simic Nexus deck and there's no alt art for Nexus or Reclamation.

This is the only card in my deck that doesn’t have art for it. 😢 When I get paid next I’m gonna finish my deck, but damn... that one card will never be artsy.

They missed a few key cards that we will almost certainty see in the invitational. I would have thought that they would have prioritized those since it's free advertisement on the big stage (assuming they are giving all the players a temp account with everything unlocked)

I'm guessing this is based on actual play frequency and meteor golem is in precons, and also a decent inclusion for starting F2P players when the card pool is really limited, so it likely got in because of that.

Dumb question: where would I buy these? I click on the store and all I see are bundles (mainly guild ones).

In the deckbuilder, top right, there is a sparkly icon, it puts you into the cosmetics crafting page.

Most of them you can just go to "Deck", look for the card, open it, and you will see a toggle above the card. Flick that toggle and you will see the gem cost for that particular card.

Please note that some cards are part of those 3,000 gem guild packages that you see in the store but you'll be notified if that is the case.

People aren’t going to stop playing it because there isn’t a 3D version. As much as people can hate the card the artwork is cool.

Well yeah, but I wasn’t implying that. I mean no one is going to just quit playing cards because they don’t have a pretty version.

And I agree about the artwork, I just hate seeing it over a dozen times per game.

Honestly, if I had the cards I’d probably play it from time to time.

Here’s my conspiracy. Nexus and Wilderness are both fairly popular cards notable missing from a fairly long list. They’re also incredible polarizing. WotC left them out because they didn’t want to deal with refunds if they got banned.

I could see that. Even without Nexus, Wilderness is still a killer. I play Temur Reclamation sometimes and using Wilderness just for Explosion is bad enough. The only thing that keeps Wilderness in check is that it doesn’t shuffle back in and it’s relatively easy to get rid of if you can’t protect it.

Wait, how do I get Revitalize? It shows up in the crafting screen but won't let you make it (like Chemister's Insight and the cards coming in the event this weekend). It says "this style cannot be purchased at this time."

Could it be a future event card?

Sounds like it is, yeah. There's a few of those.

One of my speculations is that they might also "reveal" a code for some during the Invitational to create some hype. Like a "go login/sign up right now and you can get this!" type of advertisement.

So I was going through the cosmetics that I've allegedly unlocked, like llanowar elves and viashino pyromancer, and it won't let me use them. I get hit with, "This ~ is unlocked through play."

It's different from other cards, like skewer the critics, which is a future reward and it just says "This ~ is unavailable for purchase."

I'm just curious if I've messed something up.
