Text to speech

Not sure if anyone else has experienced this, but hopping into the Launch Bay today causes a message to pop up bottom left side of my screen. It wasn’t there for very long and so I didn’t screen grab it, but it looked like this:

{open_cortex} : text to speech

Wonder if they are experimenting with some type of text-reading feature, maybe related to party chatting?

They have said on multiple occasions that they are working on non-VOIP methods of communication.

I’m aware of that - but I’m explicitly asking about text-to-speech, which I don’t think is the feature that comes to mind for most of us.

A bit random, but speaking of VOIP, are any of y'all still getting the voice prompt every time you open the main menu/cortex?

Not I, but I think I saw some reports of it still hanging around.

I think they're going to implement text chat that comes with automatic text-to-speech (as seen in Apex Legends and Division 2), because recent regulations demand it.
