Part One

SYNOPSIS (pulled from the script):

On an alien world, a tight but socially underserved family comes across one of the rarest things on the planet: a male. Now, with this gift, their feelings are split between doing what they've been taught to do, and what they want to do. Should they turn him over to the government's control? Or do they try and hold onto him by going outside of the law? Our main characters are all women of different ages, ranging from what would be the equivalent to us of early 20's to late 40's. Women in this setting overwhelmingly dominate all things politically, economically, educationally, etc. There are many, many more females than there are males. Males, due to their scarcity and relatively fragile nature (in comparison to the females of the species) are a protected class that is meant to perform one job increase the population. They are not allowed to hold jobs. They are not allowed to be unattended for extended periods of time. They are educated, but only up to a certain point as the state has deemed there is no reason to give them expanded education when they, by law, cannot use it.

I can't even begin to describe the characters, so I pulled u/Indras1**'s copy for it:**

Aly - Once again played by /u/fieldsoflupine, she plays a smaller role, mostly in explaining some of the events of episode 1 to the rest of the family.

Myla - Played by /u/blissfullyquiet. She's older, dominant, a bit cynical, but has her cold exterior melted a little during the episode. A truly endearing character.

Nera - Played by /u/nightfawn. She's cute, hilarious, and witty. An excellent contrast to the cool composure of Myla.

Perrin - Played by /u/ruthieren. We clearly catch Perrin at her worst at the start of this episode, she's hungover from the previous night, and as she's trying to recover she's hit with an emotional bombshell. There's a great deal more to come from this character, I'm sure.
