First of all, I would like to apologize for the April Fools joke today. It was planned in advance and, given the normal state of things, had the potential to be very fun.

As of now, the subreddit is back to normal-ish. The senior mods are desperately trying to gain their footing. We have all had major setbacks recently. That, in addition to training our newer mods, has made putting together a State of the Subreddit difficult.

I promise you that one will happen by the end of next week. We will go over the subreddit, its rules and how they compare to reddit’s, and how we can improve together.

In the meantime, I would appreciate it if you would come to us with ideas, criticisms, and questions that you’d like to see in a comprehensive survey. Any abusive modmails will be disregarded.

It’s my bed time, so I’m writing this and going to sleep soon. I am leaving the comments open, criticism and discussion is welcome. However, any comments that are harassing or abusive will be removed.

For example, “DJ is often brusque and dismissive” is acceptable. “DJ is a bitch with sparse eyebrows” is unacceptable and mostly because I’m very sensitive about the amount of plucking I did in 2002.

Edit: I’m back but I have a full day. I’ve been reading all of your comments (yes, all of them) and I think I have a fair idea of what a survey/SofSR should look like.
