[TIP] found a way to fix activator volume button actions?

Tip

so i saw this Post (https://www.reddit.com/r/jailbreak/comments/awu6ur/release_fsfix_add_missing_methods_to_make/ ) about [[fsfix]] which i downloaded and installed. as promised, it did some quick and dirty fix to restore some functionality to Activator!

however i has this bug that pressing volume up would pause the music i was listening to (still would skip forward a song, which is what i had the activation set to do.

after uninstalling fsfix, the bug disappeared but the functionality of the volume buttons remained! it’s a little delayed, and as the post says, the volume does also change. not exactly sure what the tweak does or how it works, but my activator works now for volume commands.

current setup: hold volume up: skip song, vibrate (flick), lower volume 1 step hold volume down: previous song, vibrate (flick), raise volume 1 step

maybe u/rapalogue can explain why this works, and if it’s recommended. i'd also be curious to learn if there’s any negative effects from this method, and how i'd revert if i wanted to (bc uninstalling the tweak clearly didn’t clean up all the changes).

Update: after restoring to 12.4 this fix remains. Rpetrich also has this listed as a fix in chanhelogs
