Just picked up this 1993 U13 Japan spec Bluebird SSS, with a factory installed SR20DET and ATTESA awd. Not many of these around these parts, a bit of a sleeper.

Nice! My first car was a 1st gen USDM Altima. Looked exactly the same as this car, except it had the 95+ grill and was slower and FWD :P The Bluebird SSS is my boyhood dream. Enjoy it :)
Nice one, Thanks. I think it's ugly as heck but I like it for that reason too. This thing has no boost and blows lots of unburnt fuel and smoke, I'm thinking the turbo failed or maybe just a boost leak
More pictures? Gotta see that interior and engine bay!
Yes, soon
I wasn't even aware they made a "bluebird" outside of the 510. Very awesome.
Manual?
Not yet 😉
This was the glory days of Nissan. Congrats on the pick up, I'll stay tuned for updates.
Niiice installed quite a few blue bird engines int usdm sr20 equipped cars back in the day.
A bit? That's an awesome sleeper!
Nissan still made good cars in the early 90s - so great find!
Damn, you got more Ss than me
Haha I think you still win
Damn you, I was about to buy that exact car you beat me to it. I had one before got written off unfortunately. Enjoy your purchase :)
Haha sorry mate, maybe next time. It's really not running well so unless you're a mechanic you'd be up for thousands just to get it back to drivable.
Yeah that was sort of the plan, I was thinking project car manual swap. Ps if you want to do a manual swap there is a guy parting out one of these on gumtree.
Good luck with your project :)
Thanks yes the auto is slipping so it will have to to manual, I wanna do brass button clutch and really sick it up
Sounds awesome mate, would love to see pictures of your adventure.
Just a FYI the transfer case and 3rd gear are on the weak side. If you really want to go for high hp build I’d recommend a Straight cut or uprated synchromesh gearset (I think there are 2 company’s that do these PAR and PPG) and some box bracing (there is a company out of the uk that makes them not sure of the name). The u13 box is the same at the GTiR from memory so they may be listed as GTiR parts - don’t quote me on that it’s been about 15 years since I owned one.
There is a time attack one getting around Aus at the moment too, worth a look for some inspiration.
I’ll DM you some links to useful info if I track it down in my archives.
👍
woah super unique, something the average person wouldnt think twice about.
Redtop sr20?
Yep! Couldn't believe it
You love her and change her oil. That’s a sleeper and a keeper. Money and little effort can put you above 500hp
Poor mans GTiR lol, but in all seriousness its nice to see one around still in good condition.
Where do you find something like this. Amazing. Congrats.
Thanks, just for sale in a distant part of my city, I had to have it
